I have no intention of turning this newsletter into a vehicle for political activism. I have always believed that the political climate of the country, of the world, is merely ~ for lack of a better term ~ a symptom of the spiritual condition of the world. If you truly want to have a positive effect on the planet, work spiritually ~ always work spiritually first. (If you have not read the blesstheworld.com home page, go there now.)

That being said, it is time to treat some symptoms.

Write your representatives to the Federal Government demanding all American soldiers be returned to American soil by April 2006 ~ in time to celebrate Earth Day and plant a tree at home.

I am not a "conservative" and I am not a "liberal" ~ I am a "spiritual humanist". I do not believe in the "greater good"; I believe in the "greater karma".

With the imbalance of conservatism in the world, the greater karma of the planet can be seen as de- progressing ~ what I mean is that the spiritual evolution of the planet is not advancing as quickly as mystics had hoped. Many of us had looked at this issue leading to the summit of the year 2012 (grand spiritual awakening) with rose-colored glasses on our third eyes!!! But the world has not necessarily followed the vision. Our own United States presidential election is a perfect example (please note: I am not saying the results of the election were good or bad ~ water seeks its own level ~ I am saying that what we have in the physical world represents where we are in the spiritual world. If you want a different government, work spiritually for a different world).

The symptom of conservatism can be seen all over the planet right now, but one profound example breaks my heart.

On November 13, 2005, two men ~ aged 24 and 25 ~ were hanged by the neck in a public square until dead for the crime of engaging in a consenting homosexual act. On July 19th, two teenagers ~ aged 17 and 18 ~ were hanged for the same crime. These executions occurred in Iran as part of the legal system and in full support of the government. In fact, the government and ruling class of the country boasted of the executions.

The United States does have economic sanctions against Iran but they are flimsy. "Persian" money is strong and active in the United States. I advocate a complete embargo of Iran ~ not for political reasons, but spiritual reasons. There can be no fence-sitting in the spiritual world ~ either you accept behavior of flagrant inhumanity or you do not. If you sat down to dinner with someone who held such disregard for humanity in his heart, would you digest your food? Whom do you want your country to sit down to dinner with? Conservatism is greatly imbalanced in the world right now because of a predominance of fear. Work on releasing your own emotional constraints to help the planet achieve balance.

Karma Release

I have spoken repeatedly about working for peace on Earth. I have written almost every month this year on the spiritual treatment for conflict. I have dropped the ball on the spiritual playing field ~ it is up to you to kick it. Working for world peace will remove the karma of conflict from your soul. Think about that!
