New Book

My new book, (PEACE) WORDS, is now available. It is the most obviously autobiographical of my books and confesses much illegal activity (how titillating!). It focuses on literature and public art and its relationship to the peace movement in my life. It is definitely an intriguing and stimulating read.

Graffiti and Politics

The graffiti on my house has been increasing. For those of you who have not explored the photographs on the RoyAnthonyShabla.com website, relax! It is my own graffiti, my artwork, my spiritual work. For several years, I have been displaying my graffiti on my own home and as election time approached, I stepped up the communication. (Yes, I am the crazy man in the neighborhood ~ wouldn’t you like to be one too?) While I do not take a political position on anything but war and ecology, I am always happy to discuss the spiritual aspects of political issues. If you have not read my blog (which also includes arts events, film reviews, and personal chatter…) prepare to have your mind blown. The cast of characters is unbelievable.

In general, the American public presented its best self in the elections. Much better than in previous years. The great southern writer, Flannery O’Conner, wrote in one short story (I’m not looking up the quote, just going from memory) “She’d a been a good woman if someone had held a gun to her head every moment of her life.” I think the American public got out of its own way because of desperate circumstances. But whatever it takes…

There were lapses in the greatness America displayed. Besides very dirty campaigns, there were articles of legislation across the country that removed civil rights from people. Constitutional rights. Human and equal rights are a part of the peace movement and remain important in the world today. “You cannot have peace without freedom.” ~ Malcom X. If you have not participated in the protests to restore equality, get off your butt.

Astrologically, Saturn opposite Uranus ~ a configuration not seen since the mid 1960s ~ pertains to revolution. Hopefully, the great flowering, the renaissance, of the 1960s will blossom in the world again at this time. And the politics will be in step with the change. My graffiti will be there in case you need a guide.

Feng Shui

Some of the feng shui is very difficult this month. Some is a great improvement. There is still an abundance of conflict, money-loss, and serious illness. But there is also the possibility of dreams coming true and romantic marriage. Publishing a book at this time should be great order my (PEACE) WORDS book now!.

With your annual treatments in place, add to the South side of your home (all South sectors including SE and SW) coins. Add as many coins to each of the three sectors as you can. If it is not a bedroom, a bathroom, or a kitchen, you can also add a fountain to the SouthEast. These are the areas of negativity.

The best areas are in the East and Center. If they are not a bedroom (you really should have my book, Feng Shui Every Day, to help you understand this) place a fountain. If you cannot place a fountain, add earth (stones, pottery, etc) and coins. Spend more time in these two sectors than the rest of the house.
